Description:
SKILLSET/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in quality management systems (eg, AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

MERITUS are recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join our client in Darwen on exciting composite aerospace programmes.
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical part in overseeing the quality assurance processes, conducting inspections and tests, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement robust quality assurance plans and procedures for aerospace products.
- Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Analyse test results, identify potential quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure that all products meet regulatory and internal quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to integrate quality controls throughout the product life cycle.
- Conduct supplier audits and work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of quality assurance activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality management system.
- Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and procedures.
