SKILLSET/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems (eg, AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

QUALITY ENGINEER - UP TO £40,000 PA - DARWEN - 12 MONTHS (EXTENDABLE) 4 DAY WEEK - 37 HOURS PER WEEK) - ONSITE ROLE- SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW ONSITE

MERITUS are recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join our client in Darwen on exciting composite aerospace programmes.
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical part in overseeing the quality assurance processes, conducting inspections and tests, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement robust quality assurance plans and procedures for aerospace products.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Analyse test results, identify potential quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all products meet regulatory and internal quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to integrate quality controls throughout the product life cycle.
  • Conduct supplier audits and work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of quality assurance activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality management system.
  • Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and procedures.
