Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior) to join our team in Berkeley, MO.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
• 1+ year of experience developing and utilizing detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
• Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard.
• 1+ year of experience applying audit standards, procedures and techniques.
• 3+ years of experience with Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA) and corrective analysis
• 3+ years of experience with data analysis and/or data mining

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Level 4: 5 or ore years of related work experience or a combination of education and experience
• 1+ year of experience using Data Software systems, Minitab, Excel, Tableau, SQL etc.
• 2+ years of experience in Project Management or engineering project planning.
• Experience with SPC and Statistical Data
• Experience with special processes, metallurgical, and aircraft tube & duct welding process

Level 3:

• Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
• Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
• Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.
• Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
• Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
• Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
• Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
• Works under general supervision.

Level 4:

• Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
• Provides interpretation of complex requirements.
• Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
• Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.
• Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
• Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.
• Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Develops and implements corrective actions.
• Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
• Works under minimal direction.
