Description:
SUMMARY:
As Quality Engineer, you will take ownership in identifying problems related to Quality, working with various teams to come to the resolution of the problems and supporting continuous improvement of product, processes, and the quality management system. You will also address all areas of enterprise operations to achieve quality and operating objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a similar technical discipline.
- Have 3 - 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Be a hands-on self-starting team player and can read blueprints & Interpret GD&T on drawings.
- Experience with Engineering Change, RCA/8D, FMEA.
- Working experience of ISO 9001 quality management systems, internal or external auditor experience is preferred.
- Strong computer skills (including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Visio, MS Outlook, and ERP).
- Experience in the telecommunication products industry is preferred.
- Be able to work within and meet aggressive deadlines.
- ASQ certification preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Drive process and product improvements to reduce internal defects and external warranty.
- Establish and maintain an effective quality report/matrix and database, manage the quality KPI, drive continuous improvement on quality index and manage/reduce the cost of poor quality.
- Lead the incoming quality inspection process, in-process quality control, internal audit program, gage and calibration process, and material tractability activities to assure effectiveness of the Quality System.
- Lead the supplier quality assurance and sample qualification process, implement effective supplier quality management processes to make sure the supplied products meet Sinclair’s quality standards; Monitor supplier quality performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Facilitate and lead root cause analysis when defects are detected and reported internally and externally. Figure out and implement the correction, corrective action & preventive actions. Monitor and validate the effectiveness.
- Identify quality-related training needs and direct training activities. Provide necessary training to all employee and promote quality awareness.
- Measure and monitor customer satisfaction and take corrective action as appropriate. Provide relevant documents upon customers’ request.
- Develop, define, and recommend quality policy and set objectives to meet business needs.
- Support management reviews of the quality system to align the system to the business strategy.
- Occasional domestic/international business travel.
- Other duties as assigned.
