Description:

OVERVIEW

  • Reporting to the Compliance Director, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Fab Quality system.
  • The post holder will work closely with the Operations teams to drive best practice, leading us on our path towards world class manufacturing operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING

  • High level of competency with Microsoft Office and Software systems
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering related subject

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a Quality role within an advanced Manufacturing organisation (preferably semi-conductor/electronic fabrication)
  • Proven experience of driving Quality improvements through a dynamic organization
  • Experience of implementing & maintaining Management standards and systems
  • In depth knowledge of FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, APQP, RCA
  • Demonstrated ability to apply Structured Root Cause Analysis to resolve issues and problems, including 5 Why, 8D, IS/IS NOT

  • Allocation of work to ensure targets are met
  • Strong administrative/organisational skills
  • Experienced in adhering to ISO standards and applying risk-based thinking.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Operations teams to drive best practice improving manufacturing and performance metrics
  • Track progress and actions through the change management system effectively
  • Write, review and approve reports, SOP’s and other technical documentation
  • Assist with internal & external audits and manage supplier quality programs
  • Maintain, improve and streamline the IMS to support the workforce and ensure compliance with ISO standards
  • Develop and deliver necessary training to staff
  • Map and monitor production processes and implement necessary improvements to assist output and customer shipments
  • Assist with problem solving and improvement opportunities as determined through data analysis, customer audits, complaints, Six Sigma projects, and other quality-related programs.
  • Establish robust and proactive reporting and investigative processes to improve engagement with staff and reduce Quality non-conformances across the business
  • Participate in the CRB/MRB process and provide informed suggestions to management
