Quality Engineer - Production Quality

at  NOVO Energy Production AB

We are building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory that will be one of the largest battery cell production facilities in Europe. We are continuing to build a team of highly skilled Quality Engineers who will play a key role throughout the entire project lifecycle from inception through to production.

Together, we have formed a joint venture, NOVO Energy, to power the next generation of pure electric Volvo cars.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

University degree in engineering and working experience within quality in a production environment.

Experience from working with technical cleanliness according to VDA 19.
-
Experience from Quality management systems according to ISO9001 and/or IATF 16949.

Knowledge in MSA, equipment calibration and in statistical process control.

Knowledge in problem solving methods & tools; 8D and 6 sigma (green belt level).

Excellent English skills – written and oral
As a person you are structured, organized and meticulous with good communication skills. You are execution oriented and able to solve complex problems, as well as organize teams and competences on short notice. You have a high level of integrity, also under pressure, and are able to efficiently sort and prioritize between tasks.

As Quality Engineer working in the production areas, you are part of a cross functional production team, reporting to the Manufacturing Superintendent and the Quality Manager. In your role, you will secure that products produced in the NOVO Energy plant comply to standards and specification, and by that meet customer product requirements and legislation.
Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)

Define and implement QA and QC activities in the cross functional production teams, ensuring that production/produce quality specifications are met.

Define and implement QMS in the production area. Perform internal audits.

Create training material and provide training to the team in quality topics.

Be the owner of the quality control plan for the area. Secure continuous review and updates based on production outcome and change introduction (process, materials, methods, products).

Training of new Quality technicians as well as performing QPS for Quality technicians in the area.

Lead efficient problem-solving activities and decision-making including escalation, according to the non-conformity management procedure, in case of non-conformities.

Interpret, analyze and report data/results on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis.

Lead cross functional team activities such as planning, method development, problem solving and continuous improvements.
