Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that the mechanical parts produced meet quality standards required to eliminate or minimise non-quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to.
- Handle and investigate nonconformity and ensure corrective and preventive measure has been taken to mitigate any impact caused.
- Lead problem solving activities utilising industry standard methodologies: DMAIC, 8D, 5Whys, Fishbone diagram and FMEA.
- Support of production inspection and approvals.
- Documentation creation (procedures, instructions, reports).
- Short and long term quality KPIs reporting and analysis along with continuous improvements plan.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. Working as part of a cross functional team to ensure that any NPI projects follow the design and development process to meet the requirements of applicable standards.
- Work in a team environment to develop and implement good practices that emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements.
- Maintain and follow ISO standards for: ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 45001 Health & Safety, ISO 14001 Environmental within working areas.
- Control and report all instances of non-conformances and changes to quality trends.
- Support quality team in internal and external rejection process.
- Report and monitor KPIs for non-quality cost including scrappage, reworking and parts returning to vendors.
- Produce written reports and Power Point presentations.
- Perform root cause analysis and take corrective actions to resolve problems and prevent re-occurrences.
- Support and assist internal and external calibration process for measuring equipment and tools.
