THE ROLE:
Here at Survitec, we are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join our proactive team based in Ellesmere Port.
As a Quality Engineer, you will work closely with all areas of our business ensuring that quality processes are followed and that the culture of quality is at the forefront of our approach to production and new product introductions (NPI).
You will ensure products and services meet customer requirements by facilitating, training, and supporting the business in the deployment of Quality improvement initiatives. You’ll manage KPI’s and ensure preventative actions are taken to maximise success.
Additionally, the role supports purchasing and inspection and operates with production and new product introduction. You’ll provide quality engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques and alignment to quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Ensure quality excellence throughout to ensure our approach is aligned to our quality standards: AS9100 and ISO9001:2015
- Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources.
- Effectively communicate and reinforce the businesses commitment to quality excellence.
- Use best practice quality tools such as PPAP/APQP and 8D problem resolution
- Working closely with NPI team to ensure pre-production process is supported and quality information is gathered and reported before product release.
- Participate in the use of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) where required.
- Maintain, manage and improve non-conformance reporting (NCR) system and allocation of tasks as part of ongoing QMS processes and any reviews.
- Apply appropriate Measurement System Analysis tools and define, manage, and report on the production key performance indicators (KPI’s)
