Quality Engineer - Wehl Operations

In this role, you will design, implement and evaluate quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques. You will interface with all other engineering and production support functions within our organization and with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues. You will be based out of our Wehl (GLD) facility.

• Perform regular quality assessments & failure mode on non-conforming material.
• Perform routine incoming material inspections from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
• Perform regular product evaluations, record inspection results, and recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
• Apply statistical process control (SPC) and other statistical methods of analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes to ensure that customer and internal requirements are met.
• Ability to effectively define problems through data analysis, propose workable solutions to minimize defects and waste.
• Build product knowledge to develop or improve product specifications, identify potential failure modes, assess root cause, improve product performance, and drive risk management.
• Evaluate and visit potential and existing suppliers with Supply Chain as requested.Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing processes, and evaluation.
