Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team and ensure the highest standards of quality in our materials and components. This role is essential for providing support to the manufacturing team across all areas of the production life cycle in order to ensure all quality standards are in place.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all suppliers consistently deliver materials of a high quality, within specifications.
- Lead the identification, analysis, and completion of corrective actions for any non-conformances with suppliers.
- Manage the incoming materials inspection process to prevent out-of-specification components from reaching the production line.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in terms of performance, reliability, and/or cost of components.
- Lead the Incoming Inspection team, including training and upskilling on technical processes and equipment as required.
- Maintain the Incoming Inspection register, regularly reviewing failure rates on different components and adjusting the level of inspection as required.
- Effectively communicate trends in component quality with R&D and Procurement teams.
