Description:

Act as a subject matter expert in Qi methodology, supporting operational managers and frontline staff with Qi coaching and facilitating rapid process improvement events. Coach teams to develop agreed areas for change, including supporting the development of improved processes, pathways, and ways of working. To create and maintain standardised reports on key Qi programmes and Qi projects across the Trust and to submit these reports into the Trusts governance committee structure, and externally to partner programme structures as may be appropriate. To ensure that risks to delivery are highlighted and deviation from specified and agreed trajectories are highlighted.
To support with the development of key transformational programme and project plans clearly outlining milestones, risks, and outcome measures, working closely with sponsors from all areas of the organisation. To develop new processes, protocols, and policies to support change management work arising within the programme areas as may be required. To proactively monitor progress, issues, and risks in projects for which the post holder is lead, taking corrective and mitigating action where necessary. Support the development of mitigating actions if plans are not realising their full benefits to ensure the overall target is delivered.
To provide regular feedback and update reports on progress, issues, and risks to senior management. Support operational departments in designing their plans and reporting benefits realisation. Work with and provide support to managers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to enable whole system and cross service approach to sharing, influencing, and implementing new processes. Identifying interdependencies across projects/programmes, potential impacts on wider organisation, resource requirements and building in contingency and adjustments as necessary.
Review the flexibility of the programme if required to meet conflicting/changing requirements. Design and agree evaluation and performance monitoring arrangements for project/programme areas. Ensure benefits realisation is developed, captured, and tracked. Lead Management of specific corporate and organisational wide transformation projects and support system / joint projects.
To ensure that project outputs are of high quality, produced on time and within budget in line with requirements agreed for projects the postholder is leading the project management for. Take lead responsibility for delivery of agreed workstreams as part of these projects
