  • Degree in science related discipline or relevant demonstrable previous experience within a Quality role.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential

  • Previous practical experience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Tools
  • Demonstrable examples of taking responsibility, being motivated, and committed to delivering business objectives,

Desirable

  • Experience of leading a small team or demonstrable examples of influencing others
  • Previous experience with CIP systems and working with Suppliers is advantageous.
  • SPC experience desirable.

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

The Quality Specialist supports the implementation of Unilever specifications, standards and Quality Management System (QMS) for quality assurance and controls in alignment with applicable regulatory requirements. This key Quality role ensures systems are in place to comply with local regulatory requirements and drives Quality improvement activities in their work area to ensure product consumer safety and overall quality and address consumer / customer issues. The Quality Specialist reports to the Site Quality Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead digital innovation projects that improve quality systems and results
  • Lead projects for new product innovation to deliver superior products first time
  • Lead streamlining the cost of quality
  • Ensure the implementation of hygiene improvements and validation schedules
  • Drive Focused Improvements to stop re-occurring quality incidents with RCA
  • Be the conduit that liaises with the PD Pillar to drive the completion of HERCA and the quality capability agenda
  • Support the Quality Manager to drive quality culture activities that create passion for products and brands, visibility for quality systems, and coaching of operational teams
  • Lead SPC analysis programs to indicate unstable processes which could impact quality and deliver improvement plans to rectify
  • Lead the audit programme on site and track the action completion by liaising with the appropriate teams
  • Ensure 5S standards are clearly defined and followed
  • Interact with Suppliers/Operations to drive improvement.
