Quality Improvement Manager 37.5 hrs (Full Time)
Fitzwilliam Hospital - Peterborough
Ramsay Fitzwilliam Peterborough has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Improvement
manager to join our friendly dynamic team. Reporting to the Head of Clinical Services you
support the hospital in all aspects of clinical governance and striving for clinical excellence.
Our immaculate hospital has a full multi-disciplinary team onsite, practice advanced
treatments and offer everything from screening through to leading-edge surgical procedures
in specialist fields like, orthopaedic and general surgery delivered through our expert and

Successful applicants will have key strengths in data collection and analysis as well as being
Computer literate, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based reporting systems.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Head of Clinical Services, you will be responsible for assisting with a wide remit of governance reports
- Sound knowledge of the relevant legislative requirements and governing body reporting responsibilities of hospital/clinical services departments. Communicating with member of the public.
- Liaising with internal/external stakeholders
- Facilitating external inspections
- Facilitating meetings
Maintaining data spreadsheets/databases
It is essential that applicants have:
Excellent customer focused communication skills – written and verbal
- Ability to manage own caseload and work with minimum supervision
- A passion for delivering an excellent service
- Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite & web-based reporting)
- Demonstrated understanding of private and public health sector funding models
- Demonstrated ability to lead Continuous Improvement processes in a Health Care
facility and achieve sound outcomes
- Sound knowledge of the relevant legislative requirements and governing body reporting responsibilities of hospital/clinical services departments
- Knowledge and understanding of contemporary clinical risk management strategies that
are effective in promoting and ensuring high quality patient care
- Experience in analysing clinical information and creating written reports for various committees and other stakeholders
- Proven ability to successfully motivate a clinical services team providing positive leadership
- Sound computer skills using the MS Office Suite and Web based reporting systems
- Demonstrated communication skills of a high level including written and verbal communication, ability to listen and summarise and presentation skills
It is Desirable that applicants have:
- Proven experience working at a management level within the healthcare industry
- Demonstrated understanding of private and public health sector funding models
