QUALITY INSPECTOR
Location340 Huronia Road, Barrie, Ontario
Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00AM to 3:00PM
Hours for Day Shift: 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday to Friday
Hours for Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm-1:00am, Monday to Thursday

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor the position performs a variety of sewing quality control and conformance functions. These duties include but are not limited to reading specs and examining filter bags to ensure they meet Albarrie quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent if studied in a different province or country)
- Basic knowledge of Fabrics
- Some knowledge of sewing techniques
- Some knowledge of reading specification sheets and engineer drawing
- Experience using a computer including an ERP system to scan in and out of work orders.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects filter bags upon completion to ensure they meet Albarrie’s quality standards as per the engineer drawing.
- Folding and stacking filter bags on table.
- Identifying and utilizing the appropriate cell plates tbased on the engineer drawing.
- Repackaging repaired filter bags from customers as per specifications.
- Occasionally tapes boxes before they are filled, as needed.
- Completes order information by labeling boxes for shipping materials.
- Fill out quality control sheets for all specs.
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.
- Maintains client and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.
- Sewing experience is an asset.
