Description:
Responsibilities:
As Quality Inspector, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
- Conducting visual incoming goods inspection as per IPC standards, inspection plan, engineering drawing and product specification. Then record usage decision in the ERP system (SAP);
- Verifying the completeness and compliance of delivery documentation (test certificates, test reports, etc.);
- Using manual electronics test equipment to ensure supplied product meets specifications;
- Referencing IPC, MIL, VG and DIN standards;
- Raise and issue detailed nonconformance reports (NCR) and /or correction action reports (CAR / 8D) for nonconforming product within SAP;
- Supporting the development of incoming goods inspection plans based on a collation of internal and external specifications and requirements;
- Checking and verifying the relevance of existing incoming goods inspection plans;
- Perform stock sorts to segregate nonconforming product; and
- Ensuring the professional and appropriate use and storage of measuring, inspection and electronic test equipment that is used to undertake quality inspection activities
The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Successfully completed technical vocational training;
- Experience in quality inspection, e.g. incoming goods inspection, initial sampling, etc.;
- Experience operating electronics test equipment, automated test benches;
- Understanding of IPC610, IPC620, IPC630 standards;
- Work experience (at least two years) in electronics industry;
- Experience in ERP processing, in particular SAP (Quality module);
- Experience in dealing with suppliers;
- Quality awareness assumed;
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship)
