Description:

Location: Co. Longford, Ireland
Salary: €14 - €16 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:30pm (Daytime shifts)
Benefits: 20 days paid holiday + bank holidays, overtime available
Syntech Recruitment is partnering with our client, a leading provider of engineering solutions, known for their expertise in design, production, and quality control. They are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to ensure products meet the highest quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role is essential for maintaining rigorous quality benchmarks and supports a key function in production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine quality checks on the production floor, ensuring compliance with quality standards and proper documentation.
  • Perform daily patrols and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify and manage calibration needs, coordinating with the Quality Manager for larger equipment.
  • Carry out sample inspections across work-in-progress areas to maintain quality consistency.
  • Inspect finished products, including those from external finishing, to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Update the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) log with relevant details.
  • Manage and log fixtures, including marking and relocating them to storage as needed.
  • Ensure proper logging, serialisation, and documentation of spares.
  • Conduct thorough inspections on received materials and assist with packing and shipment of products.
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in any necessary training to enhance skills.
  • Provide support to colleagues and contribute to team efforts.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a quality inspection role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Familiarity with calibration procedures and handling of test equipment.
  • Ability to maintain comprehensive records.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
