Description:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in Quality Management or BCAR compliance are a plus.
  • Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with BCAR and other relevant building regulations.
  • Experience working on construction projects, preferably with exposure to regulatory compliance.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of quality management principles and construction processes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.

Responsibilities:

  • BCAR Compliance:
  • Assist in the implementation and management of BCAR processes on the project.
  • Ensure all documentation, inspections, and certifications related to BCAR are accurately completed and maintained.
  • Support the coordination of BCAR inspections and audits, including liaising with assigned certifiers and local authorities.
  • Track and monitor compliance milestones, ensuring timely submission of required documentation.
  • Quality Assurance and Control:
  • Work with Package Managers / Project Managers on the onboarding of Subcontractors including the review and approval of Subcontractor ITPs.
  • In addition to package managers and engineers, conduct regular quality inspections and audits on-site to ensure adherence to project specifications, standards, and regulations.
  • Identify potential quality issues and work with the project team to implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update quality records, ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
