Description:
We are seeking a passionate Quality Maintenance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. As part of our new Gigafactory in Heide (Northvolt Drei), you will have the unique opportunity to shape one of the first large-scale European battery factories from the ground up, pioneering cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the deployment of Quality Engineering tools and ensure products meet customer expectations.
- Support risk assessments like Design and Process FMEA and define Critical to Quality Characteristics (CTQ).
- Collaborate with Tooling, Industrialization, and other teams to maintain and improve quality standards.
- Develop test plans and implement Design Verification Plans & Reports (DVP&R).
- Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management systems (IATF 16949/ISO9001).
- Support supplier evaluations and participate in process improvement activities.
- Deliver quality-related training and report to management.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing
- Over 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in industries such as battery systems or other manufacturing sectors
- Experience in CMM programming and operation
- Specific knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- A proven ability to develop methods, standards, procedures, and documentation efficiently
- Project management skills with a successful track record of leading quality projects in a laboratory environment
