Description:

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance operations within the aerospace manufacturing division. This role is essential in maintaining rigorous quality standards, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry regulations, and overseeing product integrity from design through production. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aerospace quality management, a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, and the leadership skills to drive continuous improvement across all quality functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., AS9100, Six Sigma, or CQE) are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of [X] years in quality management within aerospace manufacturing, with hands-on experience in AS9100 and FAA regulatory compliance.
  • Technical Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Proficient in quality management systems and data analysis tools.
  • Skilled in quality methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and Enforce Quality Standards: Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures that align with AS9100, and other aerospace industry standards to ensure compliance and quality excellence.
  • Conduct Audits and Inspections: Oversee and conduct regular internal audits, supplier audits, and product inspections to ensure processes and products meet regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Utilize Six Sigma, Lean, and other methodologies to drive continuous improvement efforts across production lines, enhancing efficiency and reducing defects.
  • Manage Quality Documentation: Maintain and oversee documentation for quality control, compliance records, and training, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records that align with regulatory standards.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to maintain and improve quality standards, managing supplier audits and performance evaluations to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor Quality KPIs: Track quality metrics such as defect rates, failure costs, and customer satisfaction, providing reports and insights to senior management for strategic decisions.
  • Foster Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues, manage corrective and preventive actions, and implement product improvements.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Lead the quality team, providing training, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure high skill levels and a commitment to quality.
