Short description
We are seeking a Quality Manager to join the team of our partner company based in Budapest. The successful candidate will lead the organization’s quality management strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and driving continuous improvement throughout the company. This role is perfect for someone passionate about maintaining high-quality standards and delivering excellence across all operations and able to lead a small team.

Tasks

  • Develop and implement quality management strategy in alignment with the company’s goals.
  • Ensure that the department is equipped with the necessary infrastructure and resources to meet quality objectives.
  • Oversee and enhance internal processes to ensure product quality and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Lead the execution of internal and external quality audits, including coordinating timely corrective actions.
  • Manage supplier quality performance and maintain strong partnerships with external vendors.
  • Oversee non-conformance handling, including CAPA management and customer complaint resolution, while escalating critical issues as needed.
  • Make informed decisions on product quality, including halting shipments in case of significant deviations.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects, focusing on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote a culture of quality throughout the organization, including the development and implementation of relevant training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for both internal processes and supplier relationships.
  • Make decision in product quality and process related issues, trigger stop shipment to QMR in case of any critical deviation detected on the product or manufacturing process.
  • Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on quality performance.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a quality function.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in a quality management role.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 standards is a plus.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma, root cause analysis).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement.
