At Danfoss Drives, we are looking for a Quality Manager for our Postal (Burgstall), BZ plant, a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and sustainability in our production processes. You will be responsible for driving the evolution of the quality system, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement with a structured and results-oriented approach.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS

  • Academic background in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent education.
  • Previous experience in similar roles within medium-sized multinational manufacturing companies.
  • Background in quality management in an assembling manufacturing environment; experience in sourcing, planning, logistics, or production is a plus.
  • Certification as an auditor (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, preferably ISO 14001, ISO 45001); knowledge of quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D, Six Sigma.
  • Ability to balance leadership and individual contribution, strong coaching and listening skills, proactive approach to stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of assembly processes and methodologies, ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, experience with ERP and PDM systems, good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent command of the English language, German and/or Italian (written and spoken).

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Manage and maintain the QEHS Management System (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) for the Postal (Burgstall), BZ plant, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure the implementation and adherence to Danfoss Drives Management System procedures, supporting the team in defining and applying best practices.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor internal and external audits, including process, environmental, safety, and product certification audits, ensuring timely closure of non-conformities.
  • Support the plant leadership team in defining and implementing site-specific policies and standards to ensure regulatory compliance and foster a strong QEHS culture.
  • Manage product and production quality, monitoring key indicators such as RTY, internal scrap rates, and internal claim handling, with the goal of improving overall performance.
  • Coordinate supplier quality management, overseeing complaint handling and collaborating with procurement functions to ensure high standards across the supply chain.
  • Act as the local point of contact for external inspections and audits, including UL inspections, product certifications, and customer audits, ensuring effective request management and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise and support EHS activities, including safety and environmental incident reporting and follow-up, periodic risk assessments, and the promotion of continuous improvement initiatives.
