QUALITY MANAGER (MANUFACTURING) – BLACKHEATH, CAPE TOWN.

A renowned Manufacturing Company is looking for a ‘’Quality Manager (Manufacturing)’’ to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in Blackheath, Cape Town.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric / Equivalent
  • Diploma / Degree (Management or Quality Management)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual (English and Afrikaans.)

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing the framework and methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment
  • Ensuring that products adhere to quality standards
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
  • Managing the quality team
  • Training and managing production line staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods
  • Tracking products through the manufacturing process to ensure that each part of the process is correct
  • Performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to industry and company standards
  • Eliminating products that are not up to standards and finding the reasons for product problems
  • Manage the quality and auditing-process and reporting
  • Own weekly calibration sessions to ensure consistency
  • Compile and distribute quality reporting in a standard format
  • Drive requirements for technical quality and auditing solutions
  • Provide clear insight into performance drivers
  • Liaise with Operations on coaching and areas for improvement
  • Prepare reports and analysis, including relevant analyses versus prior periods and forecasts and associated risks/opportunities.
  • Preparing a weekly/monthly report to management summarizing site Quality activities, concerns, and project Quality statistics for the period.
  • Drive the development of robust quality improvement coaching and training processes to drive continuous improvement.
