Description:
Pay Range: $92,000 - $115,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications

MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country.
We are looking for a Quality Manager for our Sacramento, CA location.
The Quality Manger is a member of the location management team. This position is directly responsible for the overall management of the Quality Department, overseeing activities in the inspection, data collection and reporting on quality issues.

- High school diploma or GED required; College degree strongly preferred
- Minimum five years’ related experience
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables and data analysis)
- Quality system development and implementation (Six Sigma or TQM) required
- Strong background of driving data to get to root causes and delivering quantifiable results
- Demonstrated track record of quality improvement
- Prior background in similar industries (make to order, and quick lead times)
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Critical thinking skills, including the ability to understand, effectively interpret, and communicate complex situations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling
- May be required to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Hand dexterity and strength

Responsibilities:
- Provide direction to the department for continuous improvement of quality and systems in the plant.
- Direct responsibility for all department employees to ensure proper safety, orientation, training and development, compensation and working conditions are present.
- Problem solving, enhancing processes, and automatic systems capabilities to ensure continuous improvement in quality within the plant.
- Analyze data from internal inspections and customer complaints to identify key quality improvement targets.
- Use lean and six sigma tools to identify root causes for failures, and drive to corrective actions.
- Improve first time quality metrics to align with site goals.
- A site leader of a data driven approach towards quality management.
- Indirect responsibility for all department employees to ensure quality standards are maintained.
