Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking for a Quality Manager (Multi-Family) to support Executive Transport programs. This position is located in San Antonio, Texas.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 1+ year of experience in leading or managing cross-functional or cross-organizational teams within manufacturing.
- 3+ years of experience in leading a team in inspection activities.
- 3+ year of experience leading teams in process and procedure compliance within a Quality Management Systems
- Experience in FAA certification or airworthiness.
- Already holds FAA Airframe and Powerplant License or has the experience and ability to obtain FAA Repairman’s Certificate
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Experience implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Quality Tools, Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPM).
Responsibilities:
- Executes Quality Management System for business organization.
- Manages employees performing quality Inspections and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of product life cycle.
- Provides oversight to teams to execute strategies, plans, policies, and procedures to maintain and improve performance.
- Provides education, coaching and ensures effective execution of the Quality Management System.
- Manages resources, provides quality system management and lead quality performance.
- Improvements through disciplined processes aligned with industry standards and contractual requirements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, functional stakeholders / peers, and direct reports.
