Description:
LOCATION:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager at Wills Bros to oversee the quality assurance and quality control processes across Civil Engineering projects in the West of Ireland. As Quality Manager, you will ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications. Your role will involve developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems to enhance operational efficiency and project outcomes.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within the civil engineering or construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and other relevant quality management systems.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing QMS in large-scale projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., CQI, IRCA) is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Ensure that all project activities comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor quality performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Review and approve project-specific quality plans, procedures, and method statements.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are met.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for non-conformances.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on quality-related matters and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management and clients.
- Manage the process of internal and external quality audits, ensuring timely closure of findings.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to quality management.
