Commercial & Industrial – Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.
The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market!
Vacancy Details
The purpose of this role is the management of QA and QC Inspection personnel, and to work in accordance with the Severfield Group Quality System, that ensures the delivery of a Quality product and in compliance with quality standards. You will also be responsible for compliance with client’s specifications around inspection, quality records and sourcing of materials.
Your key responsibilities will be to work with the Quality team, conduct investigation of non-conformances and identify opportunities for improvement through a continuous improvement approach. You will need to compile quality documentation in compliance with the required codes and customer specification, liaising with customer representatives when required.
You will also be required to externally audit requirements for subcontractor work, write and implement project specific inspection testing, and you will be required to do C works on site.
To be successful in this role you will need to hold a technical or quality qualification (HNC Level) and have welding experience or an inspection qualification. You will also need to hold an ISO 9001 lead or internal auditor qualification.
The ideal candidate will have a technical background or engineering, welding, or welding inspector related experience. You will also need to have understand quality systems and have auditing experience.
