Royal Ingredients Group based in Alkmaar, part of the Cefetra Group, is a dynamic trading house with offices in the United States, India, China, Dubai and Mexico. We specialise in the international trade of raw materials/ingredients (starches, sugars and vegetable proteins) for the food, animal feed and paper industries and operate in more than 100 countries. THE FUNCTION

As Quality Officer, you will be part of the QESHS team working for both the Dutch and overseas sites. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Quality Department in Alkmaar. You will engage with customers to understand quality expectations, address any quality related inquiries and ensure that our products meet and exceed these standards. You assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of HACCP plans and are part of the HACCP team meetings and initiatives ensure food safety compliance.
You ensure that all product specifications are correct, up to date and compliant with relevant legislation and customer requirements.

The tasks belonging to this position are;

• Developing and implementing training programmes for all our locations
• Preparation and optimization of quality reports
• Monitoring industry trends and best practices in food quality and safety

JOB REQUIREMENTS

As Quality Officer at Royal Ingredients Group B.V. in Alkmaar, you will have the opportunity to develop further in your field within an international environment. To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following job requirements:

• Completed HBO education preferably in the direction of quality or food
• Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety regulations
• Demonstrable experience in quality control or assurance within the food industry
• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick and accurate decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
