Description:
Supporting a culture that improves quality by enabling the delivery of high quality care through the effective identification of lessons/areas for improvement using SEIPS (Systems engineering initiative for patient safety). Ensuring the timely and effective investigation of incidents and complex complaints, ensuring that regulatory duties toward duty of candour are completed, family concerns are included with terms of reference and supporting the review of the report via an internal expert panel Support the development and delivery of the patient safety team programme of work/plan in line with local and statutory requirements, including PSIRF (Patient Safety Incident Response Framework). Support the collation of documentary evidence needed to support any external assessment in relation to patient safety. Support actions identified and undertaken to decrease the risk of incidents occurring and to improve outcomes in relation to people who use our service, their families or carers, staff and visitor safety.
Contribute to internal and external Trust publications as required to promote robust incident management and reporting
