Quality Specialist

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’sdegree/Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Maintain, document and utilize specialty databases. Collect, store, retrieve and communicate quality-related data/information.

• Collect data from various sources including medical records, clinical information systems, logs/records, interviews, national and state databases and governing organizations.
• Manage requests for data and provides comprehensive quality management reports including utilization, outcome studies and scorecards.
• Generate summary reports of clinical measures and required regulatory/accreditation measure for administrative and clinical staff.
• Conduct data retrieval, aggregation, analysis and reports.
• Provide team support for performance improvement, quality management and patient safety initiatives.
• May also participate in audits of medical records, department and patient care areas for compliance with key regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Maintain various quality databases including loading import files, generating and working data status reports.
• Verify accuracy of records, produce export files and identify inconsistencies in system operations and alert appropriate staff.
