WHAT TO EXPECT

Reporting directly to the Senior QHSE Engineer, we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Quality Technician to be based in our Dubai Jebel Ali Office. In this role, you will lead the inspection and record the Quality Testing and develop mutually beneficial relationships between Gates and internal customers which are strategic or nationally/locally important. You will implement comprehensive quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards while working closely with the production and product design teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 Standards, API Spec Q1, API 7K & API 16C Standards.
• Familiarity with common manufacturing, measurement, Non-Destructive Testing techniques and conducting incoming, in process and finished goods testing. Documentation for all day-to-day inspection activities.
• Ability to perform internal and external QHSE audits and coordinate for all third-party audits
• Ability to plan, schedule and prioritize the activities.
• Ability to create comprehensive and unambiguous procedures and reports.
• Able to communicate in English and to operate a computer system to generate system-based transactions and documentation
• Experience in communicating with a variety of groups/internal and external customers at different knowledge levels; strong presentation skills
• Good numerical, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• An effective communicator with capability to interact with all layers of management both internal and external to the company.
• Strong proficiency using common PC applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office, MS SharePoint, MS PowerPoint

• The Quality Technician plays a critical role ensuring a robust quality process is followed during In-Process Inspection, Final inspection, and testing within various stages of the product life cycle.
• The responsibility includes the comparison of product to customer requirement and manufacturer specifications.
• This position has responsibility for quality goals and measurements that will focus on prevention of quality failures.
• This position communicates with corporate groups such as Technical Service, Product Control, Customer Service, Quality Management and divisional leaders. Technicians will have regular contact with customers related to product performance.
