POSITION SUMMARY

A Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet the necessary quality standards before they reach the consumer. This role involves inspecting, testing, and analyzing products at various stages of production to ensure they meet company and regulatory requirements. The Quality Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining product consistency and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification in quality control, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  1. Experience:
  • Previous experience in quality control or a similar role preferred.
  • Familiarity with inspection techniques and testing equipment.
  1. Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in using measuring tools and quality testing equipment.
  • Good understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection and Testing:
  • Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Perform tests using specialized equipment to ensure products meet quality standards.
  1. Data Collection and Analysis:
  • Record and analyze test results and inspection data.
  • Identify trends and discrepancies in data, and report findings to the Quality Manager.
  1. Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspections and tests.
  • Prepare quality reports and documentation for internal and external use.
  1. Compliance:
  • Ensure products comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated with changes in regulations and quality standards.
  1. Problem Solving:
  • Identify defects or quality issues and determine the root cause.
  • Recommend corrective actions and process improvements to prevent recurrence.
  1. Equipment Calibration and Maintenance:
  • Ensure testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues as needed.
  1. Training and Support:
  • Provide training to production staff on quality standards and procedures.
  • Support other departments in quality-related matters.
