Responsibilities:

As Quality Technician you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with quality standards by conducting inspections, managing non-conformance systems and supporting the continuous improvement of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintaining and improving the ISO 9001 Quality Management system ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating quality standards and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct first article inspections and maintain accurate records of results, ensuring all products meet established quality standards.
  • Carry out inspection of inward goods and support the Supply Chain team to monitor and enhance supplier performance.
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure adherence to the Integrated Management System and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a system which captures, controls and reports non-conformance issues to internal departments and suppliers, including root cause analysis, corrective actions and trend reporting.
  • Actively participate in the daily production meetings, providing updates on quality metrics, defect rates and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain the calibration schedule ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
  • Contribute to Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including facilitating 5S activities, supporting Kaizen events and identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste.

Essential

  • 1 year’s recent experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with rubber and material products.
  • Proven problem solver with a determination to succeed.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for the role.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Flexible approach to the workload.

Desireable

  • Experience of conducting physical testing and inspection of materials.
