Description:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You have 2 - 6 years of experience working directly in process QC or Quality Labs and related supporting roles.
  • You have hands-on knowledge and experience working with a large array of measurement equipment and procedures including CMM, rheometers, microscopes, tensile testers, micrometers, thread gauges.
  • You have working knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO17025 requirements.
  • You have the ability to quickly and accurately perform measurements and inspections and create reports.
  • You must have excellent vision, with minimal color and light sensitivity in order to make reliable, repeatable visual inspections on objects and surfaces.

BONUS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You are a Certified Quality Technologist, and have Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or other similar quality certification.
  • You have a degree or technical diploma.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As the Quality Technician, your primary responsibilities are to develop, operate, and continually improve offline inspections on components identified in production control plans as well as developing and performing individual project-requested inspections.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE:

  • You will learn existing inspection procedures quickly and perform daily inspections as needed to maintain on time delivery of production plan.
  • You will support process development and improvement by carefully and accurately completing measurement projects as requested by prototype process owners.
  • You will help develop work instructions, procedures, file structures and database for performing and documenting measurements and results.
  • You will help develop measurement equipment and lab space requirements to support inspection plans.
  • You will perform inspections and train others to support IQC and QC inspection roles.
