Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
To provide a support service to the production and quality functions and to maintain departmental records. To be involved where necessary in gauging & goods inwards activities which assure product quality investigation and reporting of internal and external product issues
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure all data is handled and stored with due regard to confidentiality
- Comply with the Company’s total quality philosophy by: seeking opportunities for continuous improvement, communicating in an effective manner at all times, striving to exceed the internal and external customer’s expectations, support a safe working environment, considering company procedures and current legislation.
- Operate in a manner that satisfies the requirement for confidentiality in the performance of duties.
- To generate customer material test reports and support Metallurgy when required
- To report all non-conforming products and processes to production personnel and raise 8D and SHE-Q alerts
- To undertake inspection of complete products prior to shipment to customer
- To undertake training when identified to support business requirements and changes, for example product, process, quality tools and laboratory equipment.
- Able to undertake cross functional role following suitable training.
- To carry out daily audits and record results.
- To keep IFS up to date regarding material in quarantine.
