As a Quantitative Analytics and Model Consultant Senior within PNC’s Balance Sheet Analytics & Modeling organization, you will be based in Tysons Corner, VA. This position is primarily based in a PNC location.
Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.
As a Quantitative Analytics & Model Development Consultant Sr., you will conduct Credit Risk model development and complex quantitative analyses mainly for CECL and CCAR uses on large data sets. The Probability of Default (PD) model for Residential Loans will be the area of focus. You’ll be responsible to develop and maintain Resi PD models for use in reserving, stress testing, and line of business activities, as well as serve as a reliable partner to support the execution of the models, review and analyze results of the models.

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Eight years experience in credit risk modeling. Less experience combined with advanced degrees may be considered.
  • Strong working knowledge of Python is required.
  • Knowledge of CECL and CCAR is a plus.
  • Experience with big data/PySpark/Hadoop/Machine Learning is a plus.
  • Solid technical writing skills are a plus.
  • Team player, self-starter and good communication skills.

    Job Description
    Independently performs the most complex quantitative analyses and models development to support decision-making by running quantitative strategies.
    Develops new model frameworks by supporting the line of business. Refines and monitors existing models. Conducts on-going communication with model owners and model developers during the course of the review. Works with large data to create models.
    Performs the most complex qualitative and quantitative assessments on all aspects of models including theoretical aspects, model design and implementation as well as data quality and integrity. Reviews reports and associated quantitative analysis. Validates existing models and assesses model risks.
    Evaluates identified model risks and reaches conclusions on strengths and limitations of the model.
    Prepares and analyzes detailed documents for validation and regulatory compliance, using applicable templates.

In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
