Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor specialising in railway projects to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in managing costs and contracts for complex railway infrastructure projects in the region.

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for railway construction projects
  • Analyse costs, value engineer solutions, and provide cost advice to project teams
  • Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and final accounts
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for cost-related issues
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project cost objectives are met
  • Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for project management and clients
  • Assist in the procurement process, including tender preparation and evaluation
  • Monitor and report on project financial performance, highlighting any deviations from budget
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to the project team
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practices in quantity surveying

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Professional membership in a relevant body (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - RICS)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on railway projects
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Causeway) and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge of railway construction and infrastructure projects
  • Experience in cost estimation, cost control, and contract administration
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Thorough understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes
  • Familiarity with international construction standards and practices
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia as required for project site visits
