ABOUT THE ROLE
We have a fantastic opportunity to join Riverlane as a Quantum Error Correction Researcher.
In this exciting new position, you will become a valued member of our Logic team, which works to build the knowledge and the software stack required for future large-scale error-corrected calculations on quantum computing hardware. This talented team is a mix of mathematicians, physicists and software developers, working with leading experts in QEC on a range of exciting, high-impact and cutting-edge projects.
Collaborating extensively with other teams within Riverlane, as well as with world-leading external partners, this critical work will directly contribute to Riverlane’s quantum error correction stack. To help you excel in this role, we will support you to learn and develop an understanding of QEC and related concepts – previous knowledge is not required.
This position is well-suited to someone who has a good foundation in programming, with a keen interest to learn, develop and contribute to creative QEC solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Learn about quantum computing and QEC
- Explore existing and develop new QEC protocols, with the freedom to think independently and creatively
- Work with our hardware partners to propose and optimise QEC experiments
- Write code to test scientific ideas and contribute to software-focused products
- Share your expertise and collaborate with other teams at Riverlane to guide development of various parts of the QEC stack
