REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proven experience delivering the best technical value through an understanding of both scientist opportunities and business models.
- 10+ years experience within an analytical development laboratory environment
- Strong analytical/quantitative skills and ability to troubleshoot analytical platforms and instruments.
- Detailed understanding of quality systems and cGMPs.
- Confirmed ability to work independently and influence others
- Confident prepares high quality technical analyses and reports for internal or external use
- Self-initiating / self-directed
- Strong interpersonal skills and capacity to translate technical information into business insights for decision making process.
- Professional qualification or occupational experience equivalent to a Ph.D. in Science, or relevant equivalent experience.

Responsibilities:
- Act as strategic lead / point of contact for all teams / experts involved in analytics improvements across the organization (R&D, PTI, MSAT, services) and partner with relevant leads in other BUs.
- Own the R&D analytical strategy/ roadmap across the BU with the objective to significant improve analytical development, QC and overall product control strategies in terms of speed, cost (inc. resources) and quality.
- Champion and coordinate the evaluation and deployment of new tools (modeling, automation, hardware, data handling, new workflows, etc.) across the SM organization (sites, services, QC, PTI, etc.) incl. training.
- Support all R&D areas (chemistry, bio enhancement, oral drug product, drug delivery) by developing new tools and ensuring analytics is embedded in the plans in close collaboration with PTI
- Work closely with other SMEs (IT, Automation, analytics) to ensure alignment of project and priorities.
