Description:

Tower’s is looking for an R&D Electrical Assembly & Test Technician to join the Engineering Team!
The R&D Electrical Assembly & Test Technician is required to be proficient with the processes and procedures required for equipment, assembly and testing audio and video within the Engineering R&D Department. It is the Technician’s responsibility to work with the Engineering R&D Leader to achieve company goals.
This position consists of basic connector and cabinet assembly, small wire processing including cutting, stripping, tinning and soldering. The R&D Electrical Assembly & Test Technician may be required to perform basic product testing. Tower provides the required test procedures and necessary test equipment for the Technician to successfully perform product test, troubleshooting AC and DC (Power and Signal) flows, recording date and fill out ATL(Acceptance test log). It is required to learn manufacturing systems used for inventory picking, work order material bills, inspection and testing procedures, basic soldering procedures, crimping procedures, various procedures for tubing materials and cable processing. The R&D Electrical Assembly and Test Technician references assigned jobs from the hit list; locates the corresponding work order job using the work order number and assembly part number; pulls all components listed in the product material bill according to the bin location, part number and quantity. This position can be filled with on-the-job training for the right candidate.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic soldering
  • Basic crimping
  • Basic product testing
  • Basic understanding of mechanical diagrams
  • Ability to understand photo-based assembly documentation
  • Adaptability – ability to remain flexible in a dynamic environment
  • Proven active listening skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and multitask on the fly
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs, employees are instructed regarding safe lifting practices. Employees are required to seek help when lifting anything that is too heavy regardless of the weight or size.
  • Employee must be safety conscious, and we request that all manufacturing employees wear eye protection and wash hands when shifts are completed
