Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A PhD in Integrated Photonics or a Master, both with at least 2 years of industry experience;
- Strong affinity with semiconductor laser and gain material physics and fabrication technologies;
- Proficient in data processing, and analysis (Python or Minitab preferred);
- Hands-on experience with quantum well modelling, such as in Harold or NextNano software packages;
- Solid analytical and creative thinking skills;
- Good communicator and able to get things done;
- A natural independent drive to get things done and ownership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop or adapt Building Blocks and compact models to be offered in SMART Photonics PDK;
- Understanding of our customer needs and able to translate them to useful, manufacturable, and qualitative devices;
- Collaboration with R&D team and cross sectorial teams involved;
- Participation in improvement projects, 8D’s and /or FMEA’s.
