Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a new RD Engineer - Electrical to join our team at IEC LV Motors in Vaasa. In this role, you will be responsible for executing electrical design activities for Low Voltage Electrical Motors. This position offers you a temporary contract (ending 31.10.2025) with a good way in to our global RD organization with challenging tasks and ways to grow as a specialist.
The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid
This position reports to RD Manager.
Please note that this is a full-time temporary position ending 31.10.2025.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Working in global product development projects, from the concept stage through to finished products.
• Maintaining and keeping the products up to date during the product lifecycle
• Handling technical documentation, design and testing according to project requirements.
• Ensuring cost effective design in accordance with project specifications, related standards, and safety regulations
• Collaborating actively with Project Managers, Project Team Members, Global R&D Teams, other functions, and stake holders in the organization
• Taking ownership of own tasks, supporting the team and effectively communicating and sharing results to relevant stakeholders

Qualifications for the role:

• A B.Sc. or M.Sc. level degree from electrical engineering or equivalent
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, Finnish and other languages are seen as an advantage
• Interest towards working with product development projects
• Self-driven personality with good teamwork and communication skills
• Overall, an analytical and logical mindset for solving problems and handling daily tasks
• Experience in Engineering tools (such as Teamcenter, SAP, CAD tools) and motor design knowledge are considered an advantage
