Responsibilities:

  • Plan, monitor, and evaluate electrochemical experiments and measurement campaigns
  • Perform electrochemical measurements, including 3-electrode setups, cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and single-cell measurements
  • Ensure safe handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals, such as acids and bases
  • Support German and European-funded research projects by coordinating project activities, contributing to grant writing, and ensuring project milestones are met
  • Develop technical content and document, analyze, and present results to internal and external stakeholders

Your profile

  • University degree in electrochemistry, materials science, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Previous experience in research projects, ideally involving electrochemical or hydrogen production technologies
  • Strong background in electrochemical techniques, especially related to alkaline water electrolysis
  • Proficiency in electrochemical measurement methods, including CV, EIS, and single-cell testing
  • Experience with the safe handling of chemicals (e.g., acids, bases) in a laboratory environment
  • Familiarity with European and German-funded project requirements and processes
  • Ability to process and interpret complex data, and a good command of data analysis software (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or equivalent)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, especially in an intercultural environment
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and German
