More than one third of glaucoma patients have moderate to severe disease, which requires significant reductions in IOP to reduce the risk of vision loss. DESCRIPTION

As an R&D Engineer on the Myra Vision team, you will play a key role in the product’s design and development, process development and optimization, and verification & validation testing to support the product’s clinical use.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

• BS degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
• 1-2 years’ work experience. Medical device industry preferred.
  Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $90,000 to $180,000 + equity + benefits.

• Hands-on product development and prototype fabrication and testing.
• Work as part of a cross-functional team to create, evaluate, verify, and validate product designs through bench, in-vitro, and in-vivo testing.
• Prepare technical documentation.
• Contribute to the company’s intellectual property via invention disclosures, brainstorming sessions, and prototypes to demonstrate reduction to practice.
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and Windows 365.
• Experience in designing and making test and process fixtures and equipment.
• Basic machine shop skills.
• Excellent communication skills: ability to work independently or in project team setting.
• Mechanical Engineer Background preferred.
