Responsibilities:

  • Plan, lead and drive R&D projects such as research, product innovation and product development to ensure manufactured food products meet customers’ specifications and within the provided timeline. Detail oriented and meticulousness are mandatory in project management.
  • To execute, monitor and follow up closely with Marketing and customers from product concept until product is successfully commercialized.
  • To conduct lab work and analytical testing, interpret data and provide reliable results and troubleshoot problems related to line process, product quality and formula improvement.
  • To work with cross functional team in the development of prototypes (kitchen and trial samples) for customers evaluation, conduct trial plan, monitor actual production run and provide recommendations when problems arise with analyzed data.
  • To provide recommendations and solutions on the assigned projects based on data, test results and feedback from inter-departments.
  • To source and develop alternative raw materials from different suppliers for cost saving and contingency purpose.
  • To prepare, maintain and update all documents related to the assigned projects on regular basis. Good technical writing skills are mandatory in the preparation of reports.
  • To perform all other duties and tasks independently as assigned with minimal supervision.
