GENERAL DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented R&D Lab Support Co-op to join our dynamic R&D team. This role involves assisting with various lab tasks, including Hardware and Software testing, re-work, device programming, system level testing, site visits, and more. The ideal candidate will have a background in both software and hardware, with a preference for those seeking a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience:
  • Experience in PCB design and re-work is preferred.
  • Familiarity with testing procedures and Lab equipment.
  • Familiar with python scripting and execution.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and programming languages.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits as needed.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to innovative projects

Responsibilities:

 Testing and Analysis: Assist in the testing of new products and prototypes, conducting performance and reliability tests, and analyzing results.
 Support device programming: Collaborate with the operation team to ensure products are updated to latest embedded firmware revision before shipping to customers, and continuously providing feedback and suggestions for improvement of the process.
 Lab Maintenance: Maintain and organize lab equipment, ensuring all tools and materials are in good working condition.
 Site Visits: Participate in site visits to gather data, install equipment, and provide on-site support as needed.
 Documentation: Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including test reports, user manuals, and design specifications.
 Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other team members to support various R&D projects and initiatives.
