GENERAL DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented R&D Lab Support Co-op to join our dynamic R&D team. This role involves assisting with various lab tasks, including Hardware and Software testing, re-work, device programming, system level testing, site visits, and more. The ideal candidate will have a background in both software and hardware, with a preference for those seeking a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering.
- Experience:
- Experience in PCB design and re-work is preferred.
- Familiarity with testing procedures and Lab equipment.
- Familiar with python scripting and execution.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and programming languages.
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to travel for site visits as needed.
- Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to innovative projects
Responsibilities:
Testing and Analysis: Assist in the testing of new products and prototypes, conducting performance and reliability tests, and analyzing results.
Support device programming: Collaborate with the operation team to ensure products are updated to latest embedded firmware revision before shipping to customers, and continuously providing feedback and suggestions for improvement of the process.
Lab Maintenance: Maintain and organize lab equipment, ensuring all tools and materials are in good working condition.
Site Visits: Participate in site visits to gather data, install equipment, and provide on-site support as needed.
Documentation: Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including test reports, user manuals, and design specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other team members to support various R&D projects and initiatives.
