JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role is dedicated to lead and deliver medium to large projects in the identified pipeline for Product and Technology Development/implementation of a new Process and Raw Materials in the sites (either Dry, C&T or Wet technologies). To maintain our portfolio of existing products by ensuring consistent delivery against key quality attributes, product performance and quality targets.
Significant collaboration is expected with associates that belong to Quality, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Engineering and Planning.

EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Food Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Industrial Engineer).
• Advanced English required.
• Proven experience in conducting innovation projects including implementation activities.
• At least 3 - 5 years’ experience of research & development in a business environment.
• Impact of raw materials in nutrition/product KQAs/product performance/process capabilities.
• Good knowledge about Q&FS in food or pet food industry.

• Accountable and Responsible for design, translation, and implementation of Innovation, Renovation and COGS Prime related projects, delivering products and/or processes to ensure key quality attributes and performance (nutrition, palatability, BEP) in line with defined targets.
• Responsible for Project management including technical leadership for business projects with a medium to high complexity from product brief until factory handover and responsible for updating technical project progress on time in full in the defined platforms.
• Responsible of the definition and execution for different projects: trial development validation plan, experimental setup, trial execution and data analysis, to quantify key process equipment parameters and fundamental production processes at factory scale.
• Work as part of the project technical team to assist in the management of scale-up risk and introduction of the product into supply chain.
• Responsible for the leadership of the handover process (H1 and H2) with the appropriate stakeholders. Provide initial training to support learning curve and assure that all the relevant documentation is completed / translated and aligned with legal / FSSC requirements.
• Accountable and responsible for the creation of all product / process specifications, with centerlines and boundaries for process conditions.
• Accountable and responsible of the creation and delivery of specifications, standard running conditions and Level 1 troubleshooting information to achieve product attribute targets and ensure superior product quality and food safety.
• Deliver Level 1 troubleshooting information during project implementation
• Execute troubleshooting which are beyond the resources/expertise of the supply teams (Level 2 and above)
• Support translation and implementation of new technologies coming from Central Teams according to defined RACI
• Provide support for Q&FS in the resolution of product quality, food safety incidents and standard implementations.
• Accountable and responsible for implementation of Product and/or Process Mandates
• Accountable for delivering plant trials, validations, startups, sampling, artwork development, codes creation and other activities according to the RACI.
• Accountable and responsible for the delivery and preparation of dossiers for regulatory requirements such as information for the export dossiers registration, according to the affiliate’s requirements.
• Accountable of the resolution of assigned CAPA/Concession.
• Act as consultant in continuous improvement and MCC projects to ensure key quality attributes and product performance targets are met, with stable process capability.
• Act as consultant for CAB and Small Minor recommendations for the sites.
• Accountable for product panels.
