Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

As an R&D Project Manager, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for initiating and successfully implementing projects from conception to product introduction.
Typically, you will lead all aspects of 2 to 3 projects simultaneously, ranging from a few months to up to 1.5 years. Your decisions will have a direct impact on our business, and your challenge will be to develop technologically sophisticated products that balance short-term goals with long-term needs. You will report directly to the leader of one of our Portfolios.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A University Degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of work experience in a similar low volume capital equipment industry.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in systems or subsystems project management, with a strong desire to grow in this role.
  • A consistent record of leading sophisticated engineering projects through a defined product management process.
  • Ability to build consensus among key collaborators not under your direct management.
  • Effective communication abilities, with the capability to explain intricate technical ideas to various audiences.
  • Ability to lead and assign specific duties, encouraging a collaborative working environment.
  • Strong initiative, self-steering, self-confidence, and conceptual thinking skills. You are a great teammate who can admirably navigate between different levels within our organization. You demonstrate perseverance, critical thinking, and a focus on achieving targets while prioritizing quality, cost, and timelines.
  • You are able to set and act on priorities effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development and delivery of modules and sub-systems, integrating them on a system/product level.
  • Implementing detailed review processes and setting clear expectations around key deliverables.
  • Ensuring consistency with the Project Management Process and defined delivery schedules.
  • Navigating requirements with multi-functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, and field service.
  • Leading project scope within agreed budget, timeline, and quality.
