WHO YOU ARE

• Degree in engineering or food science, possibly PhD;
• Three years of experience material science, in order to be able to design research projects, to survey their execution, review results, reports, drafts of articles and disseminate the results;
• Experience in confectionery products is consider a plus;
• Attention to details, tangible results and ability to manage time and prioritize projects and actions according to the company needs.
• Project Management skills;
• Passion for innovation;
• Fluent English (written and spoken), computer literate;
• Ability to communicate effectively;
• Ability to work in team.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The new resource will join our R&D & Quality team and will constantly promote the scientific advancement of the company, stimulating innovation and disseminating a scientifically sound approach to understand properties of raw materials and finished product across all categories of confectionery products.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Organize and perform autonomously research projects assigned by the Research Manager across the entire portfolio of confectionery categories, in order that material science properties of raw materials and finished product are studied taking into account both scientific rigor and time related needs;
• Interact with RDQ senior managers and external scientific consultants;
• Contribute in promoting the Research Laboratory as gateway to increase the knowledge of scientifically grounded properties of raw materials and finished products, so that issues related to all categories of edible materials are tackled in a scientific way for the benefit of all categories;
• In cooperation with the Research Manager, organize the implementation of methods, techniques, way of working from scientific consultants into the practice of the Research Laboratory;
• Capture possible fields of activity for the research laboratory and generate new contacts within PVM;
• Promote the diffusion of results of projects of the research laboratory ensuring a pre-determined series of meetings and connection to internal stakeholders.
