THE OPPORTUNITY:
This job offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in corporate tax to join EY’s fast growing and highly successful R&D Tax practice. The team are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic tax senior manager to be part of a growing and dynamic National practice. This job provides a unique opportunity to proactively contribute to growing a business.
Responsibilities:
Your main responsibility will be to work very closely with our client’s from across a range of industry sectors. Leveraging from your tax technical knowledge, you will be responsible for analyzing qualifying cost aspects of their R&D projects and assisting in determining whether those costs are eligible for R&D tax relief. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate application of Irish tax law and Irish Revenue guidelines to identify those R&D costs eligible for tax relief.
- Responsible for high quality delivery of advice and solutions to clients, ensuring management of risk and reputation.
- Reviewing R&D tax credit calculations in order to prepare claims for submission to Irish Revenue.
- Managing multiple engagements and delegating and reviewing work prepared by other team members
- Supporting the business in winning new clients through the preparation and delivery of proposals.
- Producing project budgets and timetables that are efficient and cost effective.
- Managing the broad portfolio of R&D clients to ensure quality and risk management procedures are continuously adhered to.
- Consistently monitoring work in progress and ensuring all fees are issued in a timely manner.
- Leading or working as an effective member of a project team, exhibiting strong communication skills and be able to work co-operatively and create synergies with other team members of different technical skill sets.
