Position Profile
Title: Retail Assistant Manager
$49k-$55K Salary range

JOB SUMMARY

The Retail Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Retail Manager at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. This position requires the ability to manage various responsibilities in both the front and back of house. The assistant manager will ensure that all aspects of the department run efficiently to maximize the guests experience, sales and profitability of the retail division.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Create a Dynamic and exciting work environment with effective business management
  • Product buying per buy plan; monitoring, reporting and re-ordering inventory.
  • Receiving shipments, pricing, and storage.
  • Merchandising store and stock rotation
  • Staff management, engagement and PK training
  • Manager the guest experience and ensure service standards are met or exceeded to achieve a high Net Promoter Score
  • Assist with hiring, training and scheduling of staff.
  • Assist with developing e-commerce
  • Assist with loss prevention
  • Ensure a safe work environment, attending all JHSC meetings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND ABILITIES

  • Post-secondary education in related field
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a Supervisory role in retail or related industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations
  • Proficient in MS office software
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Able to perform heavy lifting
  • Flexibility to work overtime or on call
