SUMMARY
The U.S. Center for SafeSport is a non-profit organization focused on ending all forms of abuse in sport. We endeavor to make athlete well-being the centerpiece of the nation’s sports culture through abuse prevention, education, and accountability.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Response and Resolution office at the U.S. Center for SafeSport (the “Center”) is dedicated to the prompt and thorough handling of misconduct reports, ensuring the safety and integrity of the sporting community through diligent investigation and resolution processes.
The Administrative Assistant within the Response & Resolution department is a key support role at the Center. This position is essential in facilitating the Center’s daily operations, particularly in managing the Center’s Incident Reporting Phone Line, documenting incidents, review and issuance of confidential documentation, and maintaining case information in accordance with the Center’s policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 1 year of related experience, or a minimum of 4 years of related professional experience.
- Competence in reviewing documents with precision and a steadfast commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Specialized training in trauma-informed care.
- A minimum of six years of related experience, with at least three years dedicated to managing complex content management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize tasks efficiently, and execute date entry, document handling, and correspondence with meticulous attention to detail.
- An established history of maintaining strict confidentiality, with the capacity to exercise superior discretion and judgement.
WORK REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENT

WORK LOCATION – The Center’s headquarters in Denver, CO, or could be a remote position, in the Center’s discretion.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The starting pay range for this position is $ 21.98 - $24.76/hour and will be commensurate with background and experience.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative assistance for intake, investigation, and legal functions within the Response and Resolution office, including reviewing, redacting, and disseminating confidential notices.
- Answer and respond to calls on the Center’s Incident Reporting Phone Line and employ trauma-informed practices to thoroughly document allegations, submit detailed Incident Reports, offer necessary referrals, and reply to related inquiries.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding and effectuation of the Center’s policies and procedures.
- Facilitate the Center’s hearing process, liaise with the independent arbitration body, handle procedural requests, and communicate with involved parties, their advisors, and National Governing Bodies (“NGB”) in a timely manner.
- Update the Center’s case management system promptly and ensure the accurate, timely publication of required information in the Center’s Centralized Disciplinary Database in line with internal policies.
- Work closely with Response & Resolution leadership, staff, and legal counsel to provide detailed case updates, documentation, and process tracking as required.
- Address regular inquiries via phone and email, providing information or updates and coordinating with other staff members for referrals when necessary.
- Efficiently identify, escalate, and diligently track issues, ensuring meticulous follow-up and resolution.
- Proficiently manage standard computer operations, encompassing word processing, email management, and spreadsheet creation to support office efficiency.
- Engage independently and with teams on special, one-time, and ongoing projects.
- Conduct audits and maintain the integrity of data within the case management system.
- Take on other responsibilities as needed to support the Center’s objectives.
- Demonstrates a strong aptitude for rapid learning and agile adaptation to evolving processes and technological advancements, with a proven ability to apply new knowledge effectively in executing job responsibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Case Management Systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with case and document management systems (i.e., BOX.com)
- Ability to understand intricate processes and clearly articulate them in transparent, digestible terms to external parties.
- Deliberate and thoughtful decision-making capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic office setting.
